Foundations ,concealers, lipsticks you name it,I love every kind of makeup that enhances one's beauty but you know what I love more - a bare skin that shows a natural glow from being looked after consistently, whether from the inside or outside . Some may call it genetics but I think a skin care routine also helps. I am sharing my current regimen today on the blog and what has helped me reduce breakouts.
1. Cerave Foaming Cleanser :
Having an oily skin means that you have to find the a good cleanser that that will do job of cleansing the skin and pores without stripping the skin of its natural barrier and leaving it dry. This cleanser does exactly what it says on the bottle and does not leave my face dry after use. My skin is prone to acne and I would recommend this to anyone with the same problem.
2. Niacinamide Booster 3. Vitamin C serum
I picked this product up months ago just before the lock down started ,to be honest, I use this along with the Vitamin C serum every night, they work well in fading dark marks/spots left behind when the acne is gone. The Niacinamide booster is lightweight and you can pick this up in any Superdrug store.
4. Lancome Genifique Serum .
This I received as a sample in a small bottle. The lancome genifique is quite pricey and you know how you treat an expensive product that works when its given to you as a sample -like Gold..lol. That said it is meant to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and also give the skin a radiant glow . I havn't it used it that much to be able to give an honest review on the reducing fine lines part , I have ,however ,seen some improvement when I used it at night for under eye dark circles.
5. Neutrogena Sun Screen
When I started blogging over 5 years ago , Neutrogena products were one of the items I was always raving about here ,from their facial cleansers to the healthy skin range , and today I am back to rave about their sun protection cream. This sunscreen is lightweight , having an oily skin means you don't want heavy products clogging up your pores ,Neutrogena understands that and that is why I am recommending this sunscreen to all my acne prone ,oily skin ladies(and gents).
And don't be afraid to massage properly as it won't leave your skin looking like a ghost...lol,you can find this even in higher spfs.
6. Oversized Sunglasses
Well the bigger the better as they help not only protecting the skin from harmful sun rays but they hide a multitude of sins around the eyes ...lol
7. Water
Although you can find this anywhere eg in your kitchen tap , lol . I always carry a water bottle in my bag ,yes I am a fish like that ..lol . It may sound ridiculous but staying hydrated not only when you've had a meal or done a marathon work out helps the skin in so many ways.
8 .Oversized Bag
Wondering how i can fit my water bottle along with sunscreen ,phones ,ipads , sunglasses into a bag ? Just go grab your self an Oversized bag. Someone once told me I could fit a kitchen sink in my bag ...haha ,That's because I always want to come prepared.
