It all started with me wanting Salad for lunch and the First place I could think of was Bungalows restaurant. I thought about the traffic from
Ikoyi to Akin Adesola in Victoria Island and realized it was going to be a total waste of time, fuel and energy. In my search to find a way to get my food to me without moving an inch, i called up my cousin (she's like my yellow pages for everything..lol) who knows every damn restaurant on the island to ask if any of them does deliveries and she hooked me up with this cool site called HELLO FOOD , i decided to give it a try, I immediately downloaded the app on my phone. (Just so I can always have it handy) . 
Navigating through the app is so easy and seamless. In 3 minutes I was done ordering my favourite Chef salad and Buffalo wings. I got a notification immediately that my food will be delivered in 70 minutes, I also got a text and a mail confirming my order.
Fast forward to 27 Minutes later, I was told I had a package ,look at me thinking it was the long awaited dress i ordered ages ago from an e-commerce site i've been expecting,it was Bungalows,unbelievable!
After paying for the delivery,i got down to Business! My chef salad I loved so much was consumed in minutes (i absolutely love my salads ,cant have a meal with out them) while the Buffalo wings got eaten by friends.
If you know Lagos very well, you’ll know that it won’t take you 27 minutes from Ikoyi to Akin Adesola in Victoria Island during lunch hour to get to anywhere ,seriously ,traffic is that crazy in Lagos,Hellofood to the rescue.Will I order through HelloFood again? Should i even be asking..lol.

I have seen a few of these food apps popping up lately but have yet to try any. I live in a small town, like a small retirement town where old people are zooming past me in their scooter as if they were on a Harley and I'm not sure if these apps would have the local restaurants listed. Guess I could get off my arse and check for myself eh? LOL!

That's a cool app especially for foodies.
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize you live in naija. That's cool that such food delivery businesses are developing over there. Not sure its a good idea in the future. Convenience, in the world of food, has become a nuisance that its affecting people negatively. I feel the more people continue to not cook and depend on companies to make food, the more ignorant and lazy we will become. Anyway, let me not turn this into a rant.
