Happy belated thanksgiving lovelies, i bet some of you are having a black Friday hangover ( whatever that means..lol) . Trust me when i tell you
that even though shopping was one of the things on my list last week, i couldn't make out time for it as my work and studies took over, but hopefully i would be catching up soon on that therapy . Anyway for those of you who are still in the shopping mood i have good news for you today on the blog and its about this awesome website that i was introduced to . The website has different online catalogues that you can visit. A look into some of the styles that are trending at the moment and some i'm sure you will love to shop on these catalogues.
The biggest
fashion trends for women as seen in the latest offerings sat the Milan and
Paris shows include 70's and 80's revivals, glitter and sequins, brocades,
tweed, and Gothic or dark Victoriana.
The most
crucial debate in fashion at the moment is whether we are doing the 70's or the
80's. The right answer is of course we are doing both! With multicoloured
oversized jackets, louche corduroy dungarees, lurex dresses, baggy knee-high
boots, peasant blouses and huge mismatched plastic earrings! The big 70s
comeback is going nowhere for Autumn/Winter 2015. That Seventies show is
definitely back for a second season with a more folksy than glam rock look this
time.
But the 70's
isn't the only decade on the mood board of designers and fashion houses for
Autumn/Winter 2015, the 80's trend is already popular but will likely go mega
next season with power shoulders, colour block knits and rainbow colours. Think
Dynasty, Bananarama, Wham! and early Madonna.
Lurex,
sequins and glitter are back with a vengeance! Aft Proenza Schouler a single
dress was decorated with over 300,000 sequins and glam-rock cocktail gowns were
in abundance, shimmering with shiny after-dark appeal. Tweed skirt suits with a
ladylike look have also been stunning audiences with their cinched waist
dresses, demure polo necks and sexy Marilyn Monroe look midi skirts and neat
jackets with Hepburn like elbow-length gloves and handbags!
Brocade
fabrics are back for this season too, with gorgeous creations which would not
look out of place in a stately home. Plus a Gothic Dark Victoriana look offers
darkly decadent themes. Thom Browne centred his Autumn/Winter 2015 collection
on the recent Met Museum exhibition "Death Becomes Her" for example,
but the look mainly comprises sheer fabrics, frilled details, luxurious
embellishments and floor length skirts and dresses. Plus the Gothic Romance
lace and high ruffle necklines with 19th century vibes and period drama hair
with vamped-up berry lips to complete the dark glam look.
Top
designers and fashion houses which rocked the fashion world with their new
Autumn/Winter looks included Topshop/Saint Laurent with their 1980s Kings Road
vibe, Jonathan Saunders with a modern update of the 70's trend, Christopher
Kane with some classy sex appeal in the form of naughty party dresses, and J W
Anderson with their boss-lady power dressing and Saturday Night Fever looks.
To find
these latest trends, one place to look is online catalogues like Very, Simply
Be and Littlewoods, with some of the UK's most well-known celebrities showing
off their own styles and trend, Visit Yes Catalogues for a complete list of the top fashion catalogues.
